Why is it considered more acceptable and even adorable for this baby to put his bowl full of spaghetti on his head, but when someone even just slightly older than him does the same action it is considered to be inappropriate and unmannerly? The answer is simple really. This baby has yet to learn that what he is doing is actually inappropriate.
As you grow older, you go through more and experience more about the world. We learn right from wrong, and what is acceptable to society and what is not. This may seem to be a good thing, but it does take something away.
When we experience more, we tend to think more. When we think more, we begin to stop doing things because we think it will be fun and end up doing things because it is right. this constant thought process may even hinder our creativity. Because we think more, we doubt our ideas more, so we no longer have try as many things as we would have as a child.
There are times when I wish I could go back to thinking like a child; without a care in the world, and only doing things because I want to and not only because I know I should. How many innovations could come about if we all could do that? I wonder.
