In this world, most of us don't like to interact with others, or rather, with new people. Nearly every day, my English teacher tells us how he considers everyone in our class as apart of his family, and that we should look after one another. Personally, I think that because he says that, our class is much closer than we would have if he hadn't said that. The meaning of family was best stated in the old Disney Channel television show Lilo and Stitch. "Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten." This got me to thinking; wouldn't life be so much better if we all just looked at everyone as if they are all a part of one family, as if they are our family? There would be less discrimination and there would be less people being put down all the time. Everyone always being there for one another, and best of all, we would all love one another no matter what.
