Most of us don't want to admit it, but organization is extremely important, especially with larger projects. We've all said things such as "Oh, I'll just wing it" or "I'll deal with the problem when it gets here." NO! Thinking like that will make the process so much harder. Having some type of schedule or at least a base plan will save you a lot of time that would have been spent dealing with small details.
Having a plan, or a goal, is even shown to be important in Pokémon. Now, you're probably thinking that I'm crazy to even think that Pokémon has anything to do with organization, planning, or even having a goal. Think about it, though. All of Ash's travels, even though they seem random sometimes, have one end goal: to become the world's greatest Pokémon Master. He does everything that he does because he wants to become the world's greatest Pokémon Master, and he knows that he has to do what he is doing to become that.
With the current project that I'm working on, it is really important that I, along with the others that I'm working with, to stay on top of things and be organized. If we don't do this, then the whole thing won't turn out as successful as it possibly could, and could even fall apart. We made a schedule that we do our best to follow, and we have our base plan to fall back on if we fall off schedule.
So, next time you feel like saying "I'll just wing it," think about how much easier it will be on yourself if you at least have an idea and a plan for what you are doing. Also, if you're a Pokémon fan like I am, remember that to be the very best, you have to know what you want.
(The song really doesn't relate to the post much other than it being Pokémon, but I like it so I put it on here).
