These images I shared are from Pinterest.com and they just inspired me today. They made me stop, made me laugh and smile, made me insanely jealous, made me "whoa". I found these during some free time today and they made me think. Creating is the easier part. Sharing is often harder. Harder to do and harder to take. As artists whatever we produce regardless of medium, is directly reflective of how we view the world. Its a big, bold " I THINK..." statement. We put ourselves up and out for the world to see and we WILL get put down because people WILL disagree. Its worse than dating. Online, people are more willing to be mean. You'll get the mean ones, its unavoidable but I feel you should try to stick around for the blunt and truthful ones. They are your goldmines. I think most artists want the constructive criticizer because we want to know how well we are doing. We want the truthful representations of our thoughts, feelings and experiences. Sometimes we get a little lost or stuck. Sometimes we are brought to a complete stop. By fear. And always we need some sort of support to guide us along. When friendship fails to shake my self doubt, all it takes is a caustic yet constructive comment to get my blood re-kindled. To get me back up with the fierce resolve to at least prove those self righteous idiots wrong ;). Any way, this is more an honoring of all artists everywhere because by putting yourselves out there, by being bold and unafraid you inspire others to follow. We will follow. We may deviate from your blazed trails and create new ones. But we will continue to invent new windows of the world. And its all thanks to you, who at the very least have given THIS artist open arms at the bottom of one hella scary leap of creative faith. Thank you
